RE:                   Articles and advertisements in the DVI Quarterly

Our DVIQ readers, vendors and authors have posed questions about our publication guidelines pertaining to paid agency advertisements and solicited professional articles. To increase clarification, the DVI Board of Directors has determined that the format of the DVIQ will adhere to new publication standards, which follow:

There are three categories of submission to the DVIQ:

    1. Invited articles and reviews specific to vision loss and education - We consider an “invited” article as a submission without agency logos.  Product reviews are invited by the editor and not considered advertising.  The agency affiliation of the author will be listed with the author credit in the article. 
    2. Professional articles or reviews submitted by members –The article or review will have the agency affiliation of the author listed with the author credit.
    3. Paid advertisements – The agency logo and other advertisement will be published as prepared and sent to the editor.  There is a cost per quarter page, half page, and for a full-page advertisement.
