President’s Message

Dr. David Ross

Soon the Annual CEC Convention will be here; Baltimore is a wonderful site, especially in early Spring.  This year, we are collaborating with the National Federation of the Blind while in Baltimore .  NFB has invited everyone for a tour on Wednesday, April 6, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM .  The DVI Executive Board Meeting will be held prior to the tour at the NFB headquarters.  Please check in this issue of the Q for times and RSVP information.  We are looking forward to a time where we can renew and begin new friendships, so please come and tour with us!

One of the pleasures I have is seeing students develop into great teachers, therefore I have asked our new DVI Student Representative to share in this message:

Calling All Students!!!

Hello, Amy Forrest here.  I’m your 2005 DVI Student Representative.  I would like to thank our President for giving me space in his message.  As an organization, DVI truly respects students and understands the need for us to be involved in our own education.  I have learned and do believe that being part of professional organizations is a critical part of my education process.  I joined CEC as a student member last year because I wanted to become more involved with my field of study and meet new people who had the same career interests.  I am looking forward to meeting you at the convention in April.  I know that you hear about becoming a member of CEC/DVI, but I thought I would give you my . . .

Top 10 reasons why YOU should become a student CEC member;
